What I've learned...

School has been extremely busy- for example, we have 3 exams (2 quizzes, 1 midterm) in ONE SUBJECT alone. Whew! It's been impossible to get 8 or 7 hours of sleep.

Okay, talking aside, it's been awhile since I've invested my emotions in... a guy. It's nothing really big. Some of my friends would notice that I wanted to look pretty (re-touch my make-up, wear nice jewelry), and I'd really plan on things to text him. Until I noticed that he was being too friendly with this other classmate of ours. I started feeling bitter and jealous- and I didn't like it. I talked to God about it... I really did let myself go quite far. I finally realized... that he wasn't much of my type (I like guys with Chinese or chinky looking eyes, smart, creative, and the list goes on). Most of it was really just stupid and flimsy emotions. Because emotions do change very easily.

So the lesson there for me is not to let myself go very far (in relationships).

Okay.. I know. It's a bit shallow, and not really a big deal but I wanted to talk about it here, so there. I do hope though that this can help someone in the future. :)

By the way, I got a 80something prelim grade in Statistics(passing is 65!)! Yeeeaaah!!! XD

Yeah~ it's my birthday

Thanks to the early morning greetings from my friends and classmates. That was touching :) (I got a greeting from him too! *giddy*) Thanks to Alvin Delos santos (yes, I announced your full name :D) who sang Happy Birthday with the rest of my classmates in Organic Chem. Nakakatuwa kayo, guys.

I still went to school- I mean, having my birthday isn't an excuse, right? We had seatworks done in Statistics, and class in chemistry is going to be cancelled til Friday. That's not a very good thing for my professor (unless she really wants to rest) because I was told she slipped, fell, and is now confined to the hospital.

I actually wish we had classes till Friday, so that we don't have to bother with make-up classes during the weekends.

Frostwire and more American Idol reviews

If anyone else has been using BearShare to download music, then you must have also been experiencing the same situation as I have- they don't have a lot of songs to download.

Thank goodness, my classmate told me about Frostwire. It has tons of songs for downloading and she tells me it's safe. (I'll let you know when I am virus infected >_> ) This is the beauty of having a nice program that isn't Limewire ( a lot of people get viruses from that program).

I'm currently using it and loving it! I highly recommend that you use it too!

Now, on to American Idol

This is David Cook's best performance so far! I absolutely (and I do mean, ABSOLUTELY) love this song and am spreading the infection by letting other people hear it. In my Organic Chemistry class there were a couple of people singing it too!

Now, I am not a Kristy Lee Cook fan- but I personally love this song (Forever). I had the cassette tape of Mariah's album at that time and "Forever" and "Always Be My Baby" are my favorites. Kristy got eliminated from the show though. I think it was time for her to go.

By the way, has anyone seen "Chuck" it's about this guy living his mundane life and all of a sudden he knows all these government secrets in his head. I just saw the first episode on Crime and Suspense (AXN Asia will start the series on May 5 I think). I like it, I may keep watching it every Monday (maybe around 8 pm, I was a bit late since class ended at 7 pm)

If you've been keeping up with me, you must be getting a bit tired of it. But I've finally decided to stick with Blogger's templates (since I recently figured out that, it was the reason I couldn't get my own blogroll. I'm doing it for the blogroll and the other lovely gadgets I can attach to my blog.

So, I'm sticking with this unless Blogger comes up with new templates. Hopefully :)

Fighiting girls on YouTube

I am apalled and disgusted that YouTube allows people to post videos of girls fighting- and I'm not talking about simply shouting at each other,these girls are beating up other girls.

Now, if you'd let me rewind a bit. I was up late watching Good Morning America and they showed this video of a group of girls cornering and beating up this girl and posting it on YouTube. The reporter said that the girls will have to face legal consequences and that they feel no remorse at all. So, this is what entertainment has become. How disturbing!

I'll be flagging some inappropriate content on YouTube (in other words: reporting inappropriate content). It is dangerous to be letting people, especially kids watch that. It is also me letting them know that it is not okay that they allow these kinds of uploads! Notice also that I'd usually, put in a video, but in this case I won't. No way.

Enrollment

Really sucks.

It's never easy, I know.

But there were students that had their schedule to be encoded and gave it to the dean's office last TUESDAY and up to now, THURSDAY, it's still not encoded. If I'm right, they're encoding using ONE COMPUTER. I seriously want to find out where I can complain about this.

Tomorrow is the last day for enrollment.

Want to know my schedule for summer class? 9 am- 7 pm. Rawr.

I miss ... + Evey adventures

Alladin.

You remember? The street rat who wanted to be a prince who found a magic lamp and then later defeated the tall, evil looking adviser of the sultan and got the girl.

I notice that Disney has not been making very good animations. You don't see movies or animations like Alladin or The Lion King.By the way, it says in http://imdb.com that the movie Alladin won 2 Oscars, had 20 wins and 15 nominations.

Even though Disney can brag about High School Musical, that's not an animation. Even the voice actors have changed. You should notice that most voice actors for animations are ACTORS. Long gone are the voices like Linda Larkin (Princess Jasmine), Scott Weigner (Alladin)- and I gasp as I am researching that the movie Cinderella was done in 1950!- and Llene Woods as Cinderella. You can tell how different the voices are. But then if you're using an actor in an animation that's automatic publicity for you! Anyway, back to that- I haven't seen REALLY good animations. (Will you count Shrek as a REALLY good movie?) The classic ones are really memorable and you can watch them over and over again, I can't seem to say the same for the more recent ones.

So, while I'm here I think I should tell you who and what Evey is. Evey is my 9 month old cat whom I love very much. I am very protective of her and I don't let her out of the house for various reasons. My family loves her because she's just adorable. She gives you these looks that we interpret for ourselves what she's trying to say. She also has the ability to model. Just tell her you're taking a picture of her. I got the name Evey from the movie V for Vendetta, Evey is the name of the lead female role played by Natalie Portman.

Anyway, one of Evey's adventures (yesterday) is that we finally found a cat besides her that was also on a leash- a Siamese no less, and with blue eyes. I put Evey down and told her to say hi but the Siamese's tail puffed up and it ran away.

That's all for now. It's currently 2:13 am here. I want to sleep. Summer classes are starting sooooon >_>

Ramielle Malubay voted off of American Idol

And here's a little something I made for her.

Ramielle Malubay is a 20 year old Filipino who made it to American Idol's Top 8. I am not her biggest fan, although I am proud of her for making it this far. (Ahem, there is also another contestant I think deserved to be voted off American Idol before Ramielle.)

When I was watching and saw that she was in the bottom 3 (who got the lowest votes) last night, I wasn't surprised. Although seeing Brooke White in the bottom 3 made me want to scream, maybe that's for another post. Back to Ramielle, her performances didn't show a wow factor. I kept saying, "If the judges keep saying she has this big voice then I think she should show it." Her performances weren't bad, but her fellow singers in AI are stepping it up. I was hoping that being in the bottom 3 would only shock her to perform better next week, but I guess that won't be happening. By the way! this means that she will be a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next week!

I hate the heat!

Particularly the heat during summer. My room gets very hot and you'll start wondering why the room next door isn't as humid as my room. My dad says it's because my walls are made of cement.

So, what has all this heat done?
I've been getting frequent headaches, not the migraine ones, but when I get them I become irritable. So tomorrow we're going to the opthalmologist (no, not the optometrist- he doesn't do surgeries, etc.) this week. I don't mind wearing glasses.

Challenging my creative juices

I feel like I've set a comfort level for myself with Photoshop- with regards to design especially. Therefore I'll try to do CSS. As I look and study this it does give me an HTML feel. For those who don't know what CSS or HTML means, CSS is Cascading Style Sheet . If you have a Blogger and have found Blogskins, the code you use when putting in a new layout is an example of CSS. And I want to learn THAT! I know basic HTML (which is Hypertext Markup Language) which is used for the internet.

I'll be practicing with photoshop using different brushes and shapes. I'll update some more!

Yup, Amanda Overmyer just got eliminated. I think that Kristy Lee Cook should have gotten eliminated. I've disliked her performances since last week. I was also surprised that Carly Smithson was in the bottom 3. What's up with that?!

Summer... is really summer. It's really HOT around here. I've been getting really bad headaches, I would even call it a migraine. The pain is like having your head squished! A week ago, I felt like banging my head on the wall. But I didn't. As much painful as it was, I didn't exaggerate. It hurt- but not to the point of whining. Now I'm starting to feel some of the pain again...

Moving on

I want to change my layout again. It's not that I dislike my current layout in any way. It's not that I'm even tired of it. I think it's the creative person in me. I'm not sure what word to use. But I haven't found any new layout that I feel can replace this one yet.

The thing with blogskins is that there are a few (the popular ones) who are actually very good. Some layouts...look... cheap to me. I'm also picky with images. If I know that the image is stolen from DeviantArt, then I won't use it. I hate it when people steal artwork.

Honestly, I can't wait to get this blog filled! It's exciting!

I also thought about why people want to blog. I think a part of it is it's exciting to have your own space on the internet, and be able to manage and have control of it!

Livejournal and Blogger

There's stuff going on over at Livejournal. From what I know there will be a content strike. Starting March 21, 2008 livejournal users are encouraged to NOT post any entries to let Livejournal know that it is content-driven.

As I am not that involved with Livejournal (I post, but I don't know THAT much). I get news updates but sometimes I really don't understand what they're saying, or I'm not interested. So, if ever something happens to my livejournal account I'd still like to blog. Therefore, I created blogger.

Summer
I'll be taking up summer classes in ORGANIC CHEMISTRY (lecture and laboratory). Be cheerful for me XD It's better to take it now and get it over with than take it next year during the 2nd semester. I'm also looking for a job. It can be a summer job... or a part-time job. It depends on my schedule.

Layout
Beautiful, isn't it? I'm picky with layouts so when I found this one I was happy- am happy. I probably won't change the layout for awhile.

American Idol
Yes, I watch American Idol, or AI for short. And since I'm a Filipina it doesn't automatically mean I'm cheering on Ramielle Malubay to be the winner. If they say her voice is THAT good- then she should show it. I feel she's holding back. My favorite is Brooke White. I look forward to her performances every week. The week where she sang "You're So Vain", I had the song stuck in my head for about a week! I am also a fan of Jason Castro and Carly Smithson.

Anyhoo-- this is becoming addictive! I'll stop...
